BEST CRYPTO CASINOS
IN COLOMBIA 2026

Offshore crypto casinos whose own terms do not name Colombia, ranked by global deposit volume (Tanzanite, 30 days to 26 Oct 2026). Online gambling is legal and Coljuegos-regulated in Colombia, but crypto is not an accepted deposit method at licensed sites — so crypto play happens at offshore casinos.

Crypto Gambling in Colombia

Online gambling is legal and regulated in Colombia: Coljuegos licenses operators under Ley 643 de 2001, and licensed sites run on .co domains. But cryptocurrency is not an officially accepted deposit or play method at licensed operators, which use peso rails. A new 16% national consumption tax (Decree 0240, signed 12 Mar 2026) now applies to online-gambling deposits — even when the deposit is made in crypto. Players who want crypto play therefore turn to offshore casinos.

THE 16% DEPOSIT TAX AND DIAN

The biggest 2026 development is fiscal. Decree 0240, signed on 12 March 2026 and published on 16 March 2026 alongside Decree 0241, introduced a 16% national consumption tax on online-gambling activity. It is structured as a consumption tax under the Estatuto Tributario (in the family of the impuesto al consumo, compare Article 512-1), and it is explicitly not a VAT and not a tax on winnings. The levy is on the act of playing, measured at the point money goes in.

The mechanism is what matters for crypto users: the tax triggers at the moment a user deposits funds into a betting account, and it applies whether the deposit arrives in cash, by electronic transfer or in cryptocurrency. Licensed operators collect it and declare it to DIAN (Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales). The measure was reintroduced at a reduced 16% rate after broader proposals, drew criticism from industry body Fecoljuegos over the risk of pushing players to unlicensed sites, and because it was enacted through the executive route under President Petro it must ultimately be confirmed through Congress to become permanent. Treat the 16% as in effect while watching how it is finalised.

Players have their own obligations on top. Significant winnings may fall within DIAN's income-tax and reporting rules depending on amount and circumstances, Colombia has long-standing withholding rules for certain prizes, crypto gains can be relevant when you dispose of assets, and crypto-to-peso conversions through Colombian banks may trigger reporting on the banking side. Keep exchange statements and a log of every deposit, withdrawal and conversion; our crypto gambling tax guide covers the principles and the tax calculator the arithmetic.

WHICH OFFSHORE CASINOS ACCEPT COLOMBIAN PLAYERS

Colombia is not named in the restricted-territory lists of the seven sites in the table (terms read 22 Oct 2026), and none is Coljuegos-licensed. Stake.com does name Colombia (terms cl. 14.3), so it is not listed. The choice is therefore explicit: the licensed .co route gives you PSE and bank payments, local recourse and a clear regulatory home but no crypto; the offshore route gives you crypto deposits, big libraries and provably fair games but no Colombian licence and a site that may sit on a block list. The table is ordered by global deposit volume; the notes below are editorial and look at USDT (TRC-20) handling via Bitso or Binance, sportsbook coverage and verifiable fairness:

If you go offshore, the most powerful self-protection you keep is provable fairness: each round on Stake-style originals combines a server seed, your client seed and a nonce, and after the round you reveal the server seed and check it against the hash the casino committed to beforehand. Run rounds through our provably fair verifier and walk away if they do not reproduce. Our no-KYC casinos guide covers the sites with the lightest checks.

PSE, NEQUI, BITSO AND THE COP ROUTE

Offshore casinos accept cryptocurrency, not pesos, so every deposit starts on an exchange: PSE, bank transfer or Nequi → Bitso or Binance → USDT → casino wallet.

  1. Fund Bitso or Binance in COP. Bitso is the regional exchange used across Latin America; Binance supports COP through PSE and bank transfer. Both verify identity.
  2. Buy USDT. It is the most popular coin among Colombian players: dollar-pegged, about a dollar to send on TRON (TRC-20), confirmed in one to two minutes. Bitcoin is universally accepted but slower (10 to 60 minutes) and volatile; Ethereum is fast but gas spikes; Litecoin and TRX are cheap fallbacks. Avoid USDT on ERC-20 unless the casino supports nothing else.
  3. Send to the casino address on the matching network, with a small test amount the first time. Wrong-network transfers are the most common way deposits are lost.
  4. Cash out in reverse. Withdraw USDT, BTC or ETH to a wallet you control (release times vary by site; we do not time them), sell on Bitso or Binance, and receive pesos to Bancolombia, Davivienda or BBVA, or to a Nequi wallet, normally within minutes to a few hours via PSE. Large or frequent crypto-to-COP conversions can draw scrutiny from financial institutions.

Nequi and PSE cannot be used at an offshore casino directly; their role is funding the exchange leg. The cheapest stable rail is covered in USDT casinos.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Online gambling is legal and regulated: Coljuegos licenses operators under Ley 643 de 2001 and the 2016 online regime, and licensed sites run on .co domains. Cryptocurrency is not an accepted deposit method at licensed operators, which use peso rails, so crypto play happens at offshore sites outside Coljuegos licensing. Enforcement targets unlicensed operators, not players.
Yes. Decree 0240 (signed 12 March 2026, published 16 March 2026) imposes a 16% national consumption tax on online-gambling deposits. It triggers when a user deposits and applies whether the money arrives in cash, electronic transfer or crypto. It is a consumption tax, not a VAT and not a tax on winnings; licensed operators collect it and declare it to DIAN.
It is not legal tender or a recognised means of payment, but holding and trading it as an asset is broadly tolerated, and the Superintendencia Financiera ran a regulated exchange sandbox. Crypto's status as unregulated payment is exactly why Coljuegos-licensed casinos do not accept it.
The headline 2026 change is a consumption tax on deposits, not on winnings. Separately, significant winnings and crypto gains can fall under DIAN income-tax and reporting rules depending on amount and circumstances, and crypto-to-peso conversions through Colombian banks may trigger reporting. Keep records.
It was introduced by decree at a reduced 16% rate, was criticised by Fecoljuegos, and because it came through the executive route under President Petro it must be confirmed through Congress to become permanent. Treat it as in effect while monitoring how it is finalised.
Use Bitso or Binance to buy USDT or Bitcoin with pesos via PSE, bank transfer or Nequi, then send the crypto to the casino address on the matching network. USDT on TRC-20 costs about a dollar and confirms in one to two minutes.
Of the offshore sites whose terms do not name Colombia, Roobet has the largest global deposit volume ($413M in the 30 days to 26 Oct 2026, Tanzanite), followed by BC.Game. Stake.com is not available in Colombia under Stake’s terms (checked Oct 2026). None is Coljuegos-licensed, so any crypto play sits outside the regulated .co market; verify the games yourself with our provably fair verifier.
Not directly. Nequi, PSE or a bank transfer funds your Bitso or Binance account; you then send crypto to the casino. Offshore casinos accept cryptocurrency, while Coljuegos-licensed sites accept peso payments but not crypto.
